Business grant initiative

• The objective is to support youths in minority groups who wish to establish a business for the purpose of serving the needs of their immediate community
• It must be very clear how the business intends not only to meet the market gap of the community, but also how a portion of the revenue generated will be used for charitable purposes 

charity grant initiative

• The objective is to empower youths in minority groups, who have identified a segment of their community to which no proper support is provided, to start their own charity initiative
• It must be very clear how the charity can achieve its initial objectives with the funding provided and also be financially independent in the short or medium term 

How to apply? 

• To apply for the Grant, the applicant must fill out a standardized form and submit all required supporting documents online
• A selected panel of judges from varioius organizations will select the finalists, based on a comprehensive set of criteria, with a stronger focus on business plan and financial viability 

• Prior to the final award, all qualified applicants will be invited to a two-day business “boot camp”, whereby professionals will share their knowledge and experience and guide the applicants from the basics and more of entrepreneurship. The rationale behind is, even if not all applicants can receive the Grant, they would have benefited from this seminar.
• Once awarded, the scholarship recipient will submit progress report to Better Together and the panel of judges on a quarterly basis for monitoring purposes, and be posted online for know-how sharing purposes
